Now those who know me know that my hair looks nice but it takes a lot of work to get it that way. My hair is what I call environmental hair. Yes, environmental hair. It is the kind of hair that just adsorbs it's environment. If I am around a smoker my hair literally adsorbs the smell. It makes my hair reek. That barbq restaurant, Saturday morning bacon... its there in my hair all day. It is also a Latin heritage blend of straight thick with a light wavy hair combo thing going on. So it takes a great product to keep it healthy, shiny, and workable. Needless to say I am always in a hunt that great product that is not only amazing but affordable.
On May 6th 2014 I received my Adovia Dead Sea Mud Shampoo from a special marketing campaign by Tomoson. As part of a effort to give light to new products and services. I was honored to the privilege but thought to myself they must not realize how hard my hair is but I dive in with a honest, open approach with hopes to find another great product.
Here are my findings :
Smell - Have you ever gone to a spa and you walk in and you soon start experience a amazing relaxing fragrance of lavender, chamomile, and other mineral notes of what you know will be a amazing experience? This is the fragrance you get with this shampoo. It is a clean, luxurious, and yet soft fragrance. Truly beautiful.
Texture - The color of this shampoo is a gray marble look. It is a soft smooth non-thick consistency. Almost like a soft lotion would be. Making it a great product for all hair types because it wont build up on the hair or cause you to overuse the product. Perfect for those with dry scalps and dandruff as well.
Use - I have used the Adovia Dead Sea Mud Shampoo with no other product or even condition in order to respectfully see the true product at work. I have a daily cleansing regiment with my hair in order to maintain its shine; which concerned me since the bottle is only 7.4 ounces. So I started with a nickel size amount into my warm wet hair. The product seems to literally begin a instant blend of suds. It has a rich lather what thoroughly cleanses the hair and scalp without stripping it of its vital nutrients. I am surprised how little product I used to get a true cleanse. So I see where the bottle is a perfect size to use for a month or more. Depending on usage. I have since used the product 7 to 8 times and usage two nickel size applications. See the picture for the usage. Great huh?
